About Us

Gwyndaf set up his own business in 1995 having worked his way through the apprenticeship scheme from the age of 16 and then gradually finding more and more out of hours work while employed locally. A carpenter by trade, Gwyndaf now spends much of his time managing the business and staff, while also project managing individual builds.

Employing eight local people full-time, including two apprentices, Gwyndaf Davies Ltd is registered with the Construction Industry Training Board (CITB), ensuring the highest standards of training for apprentices. The company is also currently in the process of accreditation with the Contractors Health and Safety Assessment scheme (CHAS), to ensure safety of all employees in specific areas such as asbestos handling and overall health and safety.

Every employee has their own job whether a skilled carpenter, stonemason or general labourer. This enables work to be carried out on two to three jobs at one time, all at varying stages with different labour demands at any one time, making the most efficient use of labour. Electrical, plumbing and decorating services are supplied by independent, local, qualified contractors, regularly using the same people to ensure reliability and quality of workmanship.
